Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at support@thinkinglablearning.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Thinking Lab Learning is a small, home-based homeschool learning pod designed to provide personalized academic support in a warm, hands-on learning environment. We focus on creativity, critical thinking, life skills, and meaningful learning experiences.

We currently serve elementary-aged homeschool students, primarily ages 5–10.

We use a combination of hands-on curriculum, project-based learning, games, literature, real-world learning experiences, and individualized academic support. Families may also use their own homeschool curriculum alongside our instruction.

We intentionally keep our groups small to provide individualized attention and maintain a calm, home-like learning environment.

Our mornings may include:

  • Math & language arts
  • Hands-on learning activities
  • Science or social studies projects
  • Reading & discussion
  • Outdoor learning
  • Creative problem-solving activities
  • Games and collaborative learning

Yes. Mixed-age learning encourages collaboration, leadership, independence, and social growth. Activities are adapted to each child’s level and abilities.

Mixed-age learning is one of the beautiful parts of a homeschool learning pod. Students often learn through collaboration, discussion, leadership, and hands-on experiences together.

Activities are adapted to each child’s level, needs, and abilities. For example, younger students may work on foundational skills while older students complete more advanced reading, writing, or problem-solving tasks connected to the same topic or activity.

We keep groups intentionally small so each child can receive individualized support and guidance throughout the day.

Our homeschool learning pod sessions are typically held from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM. Because we value a relaxed, meaningful learning environment, students are never rushed, and some sessions may occasionally extend closer to 12:00 PM depending on activities and projects.

If enough families are interested, additional afternoon learning pod sessions may also become available.

Yes! We offer personalized tutoring support in reading, elementary academics, kindergarten readiness, and homeschool support. Sessions are designed to meet each child’s individual needs while building confidence and a love for learning.

Yes! Thinking Lab Learning is a direct pay provider through the EMA marketplace for eligible homeschooling instruction and tutoring services.

No. While some written practice is important, we strongly believe children learn best through hands-on experiences, creativity, movement, discussion, and meaningful activities.
